Functieomschrijving As a Genetec Engineer, you play a key role in the implementation, configuration, and support of Genetec Security Center solutions. You are involved in all phases of the project — from design to maintenance. Tasks and Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Genetec Security Center systems (access control, video surveillance, ANPR, intercom, etc.) Analyze customers’ technical requirements and contribute to system architecture design Commission systems on-site while ensuring quality and compliance Integrate Genetec solutions with other systems (IP cameras, controllers, alarm systems, servers, etc.) Perform functional tests and validate configurations before go-live Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support, diagnosing and resolving complex incidents Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of installed systems Prepare technical documentation (diagrams, plans, reports, procedures) Train end users and support internal technicians Collaborate with internal teams (projects, support, sales) to ensure optimal customer satisfaction Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to guarantee continuity of technical support Keep up to date with technological developments in Genetec products and the broader security market Profile You are ambitious, self-taught, and passionate about technology and electronic security. You enjoy learning, analyzing problems, and tackling technical challenges. Functie-eisen Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge of electronic security systems (access control, CCTV, intercoms, alarm systems) Strong understanding of IP networks (switching, routing, VLAN, PoE, network security) Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V) Experience in configuring and integrating Genetec Security Center Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues Understanding of communication standards (TCP/IP, RTSP, ONVIF, SNMP, etc.) Basic knowledge of cybersecurity in physical security systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics Clear and structured documentation of procedures and intervention reports Ability to read and understand technical English Behavioral and Personal Competencies: Ability to work independently as well as within a team Strong prioritization and organizational skills Precision, methodical approach, and attention to detail Strong customer focus and quality awareness Analytical and problem-solving mindset Eagerness to learn and motivated for continuous improvement Strong communication skills with various stakeholders (clients, colleagues, partners) Stress-resistant and responsive, especially during on-call duty Proactive and takes initiative Valid driver’s license (Category B) Aanvullende informatie Additional Assets: Proven experience with Genetec Security Center or similar platforms (Milestone, Axis, etc.) Technical certifications: Genetec, Axis, Milestone, Cisco, etc. Knowledge of alarm systems, fire detection, or physical access control Experience in training and mentoring junior technicians Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Interest in emerging technologies (intelligent video analytics, AI, physical cybersecurity) We help make your world a safer place. Responsibilities

As a Genetec Engineer, you will implement, configure, and support Genetec Security Center solutions, participating in all project phases from design to maintenance. You will also provide technical support and ensure system quality and compliance.
