Genetic Counselor at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. This position is Full time and will work 8-hour, Day shift. Under the direction of the Supervisor of Genetic Counseling, and in collaboration with the Senior Genetic Counselor, Genetics leadership team and Regional Physicians, Genetic Counselor will assess and counsel individuals and families regarding inherited disease risk and risk management and participate in genetics case conferences, community outreach events, medical staff and consumer education, collaborative research projects, program meetings, and program development. The Genetic Counselor will provide these services across Southern California (including Los Angeles, Orange County, and High Desert) as well as service outreach clinics to other Providence Ministries both in person and through telemedicine. Required Qualifications: Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling/Clinical Genetics; Or will graduate in current term with required Master's Degree. California Genetic Counselor - State of California Genetic Counselors upon hire. National Certified Genetic Counselor - American Board of Genetic Counseling upon hire.
