In this role, you will perform specific genetic counseling-related and procedural/administrative duties as assigned under the supervision of licensed/certified genetic counselor/clinician/medical directors. Position: Genetics Assistant Shift: Days: 16 hours weekly, no weekend or holidays. Tuesday would be one of the two scheduled days. the other workday schedule will be determined by manager. Experience: 1. Two plus years of healthcare experience preferred. 2. Previous experience in delivery of patient services preferred. 3. Course work or experience in genetics preferred. 4. Ability to utilize medical terminology in a clinical setting required. 5. Ability to perform basic math skills required. 6. Ability to communicate sufficiently in English to perform job duties required. Education: 1. High School Diploma / GED required. 2. Some college preferred. Licensures/Certifications: N/A
