Our “Applications Tool Developmentâ€� team is looking for a passionate and skilled Bioinformatics Software Developer to help us build new generation of computational methods to capitalize on Nanopore’s unique features and the latest platform improvements.
We expect the candidate to have strong programming and software design skills, with a proven track record in practical software development. Experience with analysis of sequencing data and proficiency with standard genomics tools will be a major plus.

Responsibilities
  • Develop computational tools for analysis of ONT sequencing data, contributing to various applications from genome assembly to somatic variant calling.
  • Collaborate with other teams at ONT to get feedback and stay up to date with the latest technological advancements.
  • Plan the appropriate benchmarking experiments.
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive documentation and facilitate integration of developed software into analysis workflows.
  • Keep extended team informed about the latest developments and best usage practices
