Job Description
The Earth & Environment team at CIMA+ is actively looking for a professional specialized in the characterization and rehabilitation of contaminated soils. Reporting to the Senior Director, this position involves managing office and field activities related to environmental projects. The ability to work in a team, to demonstrate initiative, rigor and versatility are key qualities to excel in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BAC or DEC in civil engineering, geological engineering, environmental engineering or another field related to the environment
  • Minimum of two (2) years of environmental characterization, site supervision and environmental rehabilitation or relevant practice
  • Good knowledge of applicable technical disiplines (characterization guide, technical manuals, etc.)
  • Proficient in spoken and written French
  • Knowledge of geotechnics (an asset)
  • Hold an ASP Construction card and a valid driving license.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out phase I environmental studies
  • Carry out on-site monitoring in connection with soil characterization work (Phase II), environmental site rehabilitation, management of contaminated soil and water
  • Carry out land surveys and site visits
  • Help prepare sampling campaigns and construction sites (e.g. purchase order, sampling equipment, equipment calibration, etc.)
  • Carry out chemical analysis requests, under the supervision of the project manager
  • Prepare data compilation tables and survey reports
  • Participate in the writing and preparation of reports, under the supervision of the project manager
