Description
SAIC is currently hiring a Geo Information Systems Supervisor in California, MD. Job Duties: · The candidate will work in a team environment and manage Navy GIS projects relating to Environmental, Emergency Response, and Air Operations GIS data. · The candidate will create detailed reports, design various templates to track project progress, communicate directly with clients and subject matter experts to understand project requirements, and work with a dispersed team of GIS analysts to ensure project goals are met. · The candidate will develop, analyze, and perform quality control checks on geospatial data. Required skills: · Bachelors and five years of experience, four years in lieu of degree · At least five years experience working directly with Esri software. · At least three years of project management experience. · Experience with Navy data standards including the Spatial Data Standard for Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment data model (SDSFIE) · Experience converting multiple data types (non-geospatial, CAD, etc.) into a standardized format · Experience performing quality control checks on geospatial data Desired Skills: · Experience working directly with environmental and/or emergency response data Using Power BI applications and tools to track project progress · Experience performing data validation checks using RBJ files or Python Required Security Clearance: · No security clearance is required.
