Applied Geology Ltd specialises in undertaking geotechnical and contaminated land investigations and providing related consultancy services throughout the UK. Due to our continued growth and high workload, we are seeking to recruit several full time Geologists/Engineering Geologists to work with our team of Engineers, Geologists and Environmental Specialists. We currently are looking to recruit up to five staff at various levels (up to Senior Geologist) and are seeking people with between 2 and 10 years’ experience.
The roles would be split between fieldwork including site investigations, earthworks supervision and validation, in situ geotechnical testing and soil sampling, and office tasks, involving project management, desk studies, geotechnical and contaminated land assessments, remediation validation collating and reviewing data and producing technical reports using MS Office Software and various geotechnical software packages.
The candidates must have a BSc or BEng degree qualification in Geology, Engineering Geology or a related Earth Science subject with a minimum 2(i) (upper second class) grade and the more experienced candidates should have several years’ experience of the UK ground investigation and/or consultancy sector. In addition, a full driving licence is essential, and the successful candidates must be willing to work outdoors throughout the year.
These are permanent positions involving a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, with three positions available in our Warwick office and a further two in our Warrington office. Competitive salaries, commensurate with qualifications and experience would be offered, plus overtime for site work for the more junior roles. Twenty-five days holiday per year (+Bank Holidays), a contributory workplace pension scheme and life insurance cover are also available.
