THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a capable and experienced Geology and Tenement Management Coordinator to join our busy Environment and Communities team based in the Perth office.
This role will help provide a pro-active, effective, timely and confidential administrative support service to the Environment Department and assist with the overflow of work from other departments as and when required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE;

  • Tertiary qualification in Geology or similar would be desirable but not essential
  • Tenement Management and Administration experience
  • Past experience in similar role with previous mining and/or contractor experience is highly desirable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain quality and attention to detail when working to deadlines in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A current National Police clearance

Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES;

  • Provide effective and efficient administrative support services to the Environment department and General Manager of HSEC.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders and be first point of contact for the Environment department.
  • Coordination of tenements management including scheduling and assisting with tenement actions.
  • Coordination of the exploration work with the exploration/geology team including liaisons with the internal stakeholders and contractors.
  • Draft and assist with formatting of letters, reports, memos, emails, spreadsheets, presentations etc. and prepare responses to routine enquires.
  • Diary management including scheduling of internal and external meetings, teleconferences and videoconferences and drafting meeting minutes/notes as required.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders and expense claims.
