Minimum Requirements:

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate geomatics engineering, earth sciences, geography or technical GIS program at an accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent
• You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term
• Please attach your most recent transcripts with your application

Responsibilities:

• Support mapping procedures and spatial analysis
• Assist in reviewing newly acquired data from various sources (satellite, air photo, drone, LIDAR) for correctness and geodetic integrity
• Support and use of geospatial software such as ArcGIS, FME, Geographic Calculator, Global Mapper
• Assist in data loading, management and translation
• Prepare and present reports, and presentations as required
• Create new and maintain existing Python scripts used in GIS solutions

Location and other Key Details:

• This is a 4, 8 or 12-month work term starting in May 2025
• You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
