Description

CSR GeoSurveys Ltd.is a specialized consulting firm with extensive experience providing geophysical, geotechnical and geological services. The company operates worldwide, conducting marine and terrestrial geosurveys for a wide range of projects including port developments, marine environmental applications, submarine power/communications cables, dam seepage investigations, petroleum/mineral exploration and ghost fishing gear survey/retrievals. We provide survey solutions that include positioning, hydrographic surveying, seafloor imaging, sub-bottom profiling, ground penetrating radar, resistivity, geological analysis and comprehensive reporting and mapping.
We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill employment opportunities. Successful candidates will be involved in all aspects of a project life cycle from survey planning, data acquisition, interpretation, processing and reporting. Successful candidates will work at CSR’s head office in Gaetz Brook, Nova Scotia. Travel may be required depending on project assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· BSc degree in Earth Sciences, Geology or Geophysics
· Geomatics or GIS diploma
· Electronics or Ocean Technology certificate
· Experience collecting/processing marine geophysical data (multibeam, sidescan, seismic, magnetometer)
· Experience collecting/processing ground geophysical data (GPR, resistivity, refraction)
· Technical report writing skills
· Previous at sea field experience and small boat operation is an asset
· You must have good work habits and interpersonal skills to successfully work on multidisciplinary projects in a team environment
· You must be keen and a self learner who is able to problem solve
· You will be responsible for representing the company and conducting yourself to a high industry standard and in both field and office environments
