Job Description Position Overview Invenergy is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Geospatial Associate to support geospatial data management and workflow optimization across renewable energy project lifecycles. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cartography, spatial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. As a Geospatial Associate, you will play a key role in producing high-quality map and data deliverables for siting and permitting, internal decisions, and public meetings. You will work closely with Development and Engineering teams to anticipate project needs and ensure timely integration of constraints studies into GIS workflows. Key Responsibilities Map & Data Deliverables Create and maintain print and online maps for internal and external stakeholders. Prepare spatial datasets to support permitting, landowner engagement, and layout design. Ensure consistency and accuracy in cartographic standards and data presentation. Project Support & Intake Coordination Build relationships with Development and Engineering teams to understand project timelines and workflow needs for mapping and analysis. Proactively prepare for intake of environmental surveys and engineering studies by active participation with external parties. Incorporate diverse datasets into centralized GIS workflows for analysis and visualization. Data Management & Workflow Optimization Support data governance efforts including metadata documentation and quality control. Identify needs and assist in automating repetitive tasks and improving data access across teams. Contribute to the development of governance for standardization of GIS processes and deliverables. Learn project geospatial data needs and support holistic data management for project data. Collaboration & Communication Work under the guidance of the Senior Manager, GIS to align deliverables with strategic goals. Communicate geospatial findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. Actively learn how the GIS team operates and contribute to ongoing improvements. Participate in team meetings and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, environmental science, or related field. 4+ years of professional GIS experience. Proficiency with ESRI products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online / ArcGIS Enterprise). Strong cartographic and data visualization skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with Python, SQL, FME, or other automation tools. Experience developing or enhancing data management standards Experience developing instructional documentation and leading trainings Base Pay $78,000.00 - $90,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 20% - 30% The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position.
