Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Based in Cooma, you’ll take the lead in managing and advancing geospatial data and GIS services, ensuring high-quality outputs that meet critical project and industry standards. Collaborate with the Owner’s Team, Contractors, and Stakeholders to innovate data management processes and GIS technologies. Relocation assistance is provided to help you make the move. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Leading the development and improvement of the geospatial data framework, ensuring alignment with project objectives and seamless data integration across teams and systems.
  • Overseeing the creation, management and maintenance of spatial data models, geodatabases, and data standards to ensure accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for all stakeholders.
  • Develop and optimise GIS solutions, including web, mobile, and advanced geospatial analysis tools, to support project needs.
  • Collaborate with IT and technical teams to enhance GIS platform and integrate advanced spatial technologies like 3D modeling and spatial analytics.
  • Ensure QA/QC processes and data governance practices align with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Monitor, audit, and streamline spatial data workflows to improve data quality and visualisation outputs.
