Responsibilities

WHAT WILL I BE DOING IN MY NEW ROLE?

  • Oversee the establishment, densification & management of the complex control network on site comprising thousands of points and hundreds of thousands of observations.
  • Reduce all observations from traversing & levelling in MicroSurvey StarNet.
  • Perform daily network adjustments on observation and statistical analysis in StarNet to manage error propagation.
  • Prepare & distribute control revisions in multiple formats for all contractors on site to use.
  • Maintain a detailed lineage of the control network throughout construction.
  • Prepare survey reports to detail the works complete and the quality of the results for the clients.
  • Work with the Geospatial Manager to plan control work in advance of the construct to ensure control is in place in advance of site works.
  • Liaise with the field team for execution of day-to-day control works.
  • Liaise with the various contractors on site regarding any potential issues with control or request for control densification.
  • Organise routine network health checks on control to detect any changes due to loading or adjustment.
  • Any other duties as required by the project scope.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

  • Have relevant qualifications (Surveying, Geomatics, BIM or Engineering) and/or 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Rigorous attention to detail.
  • Experience working on construction projects.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the principles and practices of surveying and geospatial engineering.
  • Have a strong knowledge of network adjustments and ideally MicroSurvey StarNet.
  • Possess a full clean German / International Drivers’ licence
  • The right to work in the Germany.
