Job Description AECOM is seeking a highly talented Geotechnical Dam Safety Engineer to join the East Region Dams Team. This position will support a variety Dam Safety Engineering projects across the East Region. The successful candidate will join the ENR consistently ranked #1 Dams and Reservoirs firm and have access to exciting career advancement opportunities. This position will report to the AECOM office in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist and perform the roles of a Project Manager such as maintaining client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial management, technical management, change management and project team management. Provide support for construction activities including Resident Engineering services, construction observations, quality assurance, documentation, project correspondence, and client communication. Provide support for projects including seepage and slope stability analyses, filter and drain design, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, Semi-Quantitative Risk Assessments, site inspections, and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of hydraulic structures. Work with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of Dam Safety Engineering projects. Develop engineering proposals. Flexibility and willingness to travel for project work part time as needed. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related field plus 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Licensed as a Professional Engineer in at least one state with the ability to successfully apply for reciprocity in additional states. Relevant experience with dams and other hydraulic structures, including rehabilitation and/or new design and construction. Ability and desire to occasionally travel to project sites, both local and remote. Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review. Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering. Experience in resident engineering, construction management, project management, engineering, and related fields Knowledge and experience in performing inspection, design, and/or resident engineering activities in dams or water retaining structures Additional Information Relocation is not available for this position.
