Description

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

At Coast Geotechnical, we are committed to nurturing the professional growth of our team members. We provide the tools and opportunities necessary to accelerate your career development.
We specialize in solving complex construction problems, ensuring that every project we design gets built. We believe in hands-on, “muddy boots” engineering, meaning we go to project sites, experience challenges firsthand, and collaborate closely with our clients. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to travel to unique job sites for focused efforts.
Our team enjoys a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work from the office, field, or home office as needed. We provide all the tools and technology you need to succeed, including geotechnical testing instruments, new computers, and advanced software.
We believe that visual solutions are the most effective way to convey dense technical information, so we prioritize producing clear drawings. We embrace detailed geotechnical designs and prefer to model the response of a pile group rather than just providing a reduction factor and moving on.
At Coast Geotechnical, we prioritize our employees over the traditional “customer is always right” mentality. We seek the right fit with both our clients and projects, which keeps our team motivated and makes our projects more fulfilling.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL BRING:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering.
  • Eligible for registration as an EIT with EGBC.
  • Preference will go to those with experience in a materials testing lab
  • Strong work ethic and proven team player.
  • Interest in gaining experience with AutoCAD, LPile, GIS, PDA, GRLWEAP, LiqSVs, CLiq, and Slope Stability software (any prior experience is a plus).
  • Strong focus on Health and Safety.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Must be able to travel for daily field work to project sites within South Vancouver Island. Up to 30% travel may be required for this role.
