PLEASE NOTE: This position is based out of Naas, Ireland.
Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB) is looking for Intermediate Level Civil Engineers / Geotechnical Engineers / Engineering Geologists to join our team in Naas, Ireland and work on a range of mining related projects, typically the design, monitoring and assessment of water and tailings dams.
You will have the opportunity to work with an internationally recognized team on a diverse range of projects such as mine infrastructure and tailings facility designs from permitting through to closure, hydro-electric and water storage dam designs and assessments, geohazard assessments, transportation engineering, seismic assessments, and much more.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake a variety of engineering analysis and designs and contribute to practical solutions for challenging conditions.
  • Contribute to project designs, writing technical reports, development of technical specifications and construction drawings and development of tender packages for major tailings dams, mine waste facilities, containment facilities and mine infrastructure projects.
  • Gain project management and field experience in site investigation, in-situ and laboratory testing interpretation, and construction monitoring and quality assurance.
  • Build and develop strong relationships with our clients, our multidisciplinary project teams, sub-contractors and other project stakeholders.

  • Travel within Europe and to various international project locations for site visits and/or placement rotations.
    If you have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, or a Master’s Degree / PhD in Civil and/or Geotechnical Engineering / Soil Mechanics / Engineering Geology with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, then we want to hear from you!
