Description Job Description Crawford is seeking a talented Geotechnical Engineer II in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) project. The EAA project consists of primarily heavy civil construction. Examples of work includes clearing, grubbing, excavation, cutoff walls, embankment dams, canal filling/backfilling, canal construction, flood control gates, pump stations, and associated electrical works. Primary focus of the position is to compile data from various databases, verifying documentation and preparing graphs, charts, and written sections for geotechnical/materials completion reports. May also serve as a Quality Assurance Representative II responsible to inspect projects involving soils, drilling, and exploration. Plan, review, inspect and report results from soil sampling programs, in situ testing programs, and geotechnical laboratory testing programs. Interpret soil properties from test results and geological considerations. Analyze offshore pipelines, shallow foundations, deep foundations, moorings, and slope stability. Responsible for geological report writing. Participate in weekly project meetings. Requirements Desired Job Experience · Experience with USACE projects · Two (2) years of relevant experience · Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a federal background investigation Desired Degree · Bachelor’s degree in an Architecture or Engineering discipline (or Construction Management) is preferred General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities · Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. · Possess a solid understanding of technical reviews, documentation revisions, and version control. · Experience working in digital collaboration environments, such as Teams and SharePoint. · Physically capable of walking over rough terrain and standing for long periods of time.
