We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer in Auckland. Supporting the delivery of a strong pipeline of residential and land development projects across the region, you’ll have the autonomy to lead your own projects, influence technical outcomes, and play a key role in strengthening our growing Auckland capability. About the role As a Geotechnical Engineer with us, you will undertake your own projects and play a pivotal role in leading and delivering geotechnical investigations, design, and reporting. Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, practical, and cost-effective solutions for our clients. Leading geotechnical project delivery from investigation through to completion Providing technical input and review on a variety of projects Coordinating effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors Undertaking site observation/inspections of on-site works during construction. About you You are a technically strong engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality outcomes and supporting others to do the same. BEng Civil or equivalent specialising in Geotechnical Minimum of 7 years+ experience, with a minimum of 5 years within New Zealand CPEng preferred Strong technical and analytical skills, with sound judgement in practical application Proven experience in shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, retaining structures, and ground improvement Excellent communication and coordination abilities Thrive on challenges and motivated to provide innovative solutions for our clients Enjoy working in a team environment and communicating with a wide range of people About us Kirk Roberts Consulting is a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing Structural, Geotechnical, Fire, Civil and Environmental Engineering Services, plus Architecture and Engineering Software to a range of clients across New Zealand, from our offices in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Christchurch and Queenstown.
