We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, with a focus on geotechnical aspects. This role involves working on various projects related to soil mechanics, foundation design, and site investigations. The Geotechnical Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects while adhering to safety and quality standards.

SKILLS

• Proficient in project scheduling and management techniques.
• Experience with Bluebeam for document management and collaboration.
• Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes.
• Knowledge of Mathcad for engineering calculations.
• Expertise in HEC (Hydrologic Engineering Center) methodologies.
• Ability to draft schematics using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation).
• Understanding of pipeline design principles within civil engineering contexts.
• Proficient in technical writing for clear communication of complex concepts.
• Experience in land surveying techniques as they relate to geotechnical engineering.
• Knowledge of SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) applications in hydraulic analysis.

• Conduct geotechnical investigations and analyze soil properties for construction projects.
• Design foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks based on geotechnical data.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation detailing findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to develop project schedules and budgets.
• Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation for drafting and design tasks.
• Perform construction inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Engage in project management activities including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects.
• Apply GIS and ArcGIS for spatial analysis related to geotechnical assessments.
• Contribute to system design for water treatment, wastewater treatment, and hydraulic systems.
• Provide technical writing support for project proposals and reports.
