QUALIFICATIONS OF GEOTECHNICAL FIELD ASSISTANT:

• 0–1 Years of Experience preferred Ideally in Field / Travel Work, Geotechnical Testing, Engineering, Technical Labor, etc
• Willing to travel frequently (up to 75% of the time; includes overnight stays and flying) required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
• CDL Preferred
• Mechanical and/or Electrical Experience preferred
• Experience with Geotechnical Equipment preferred
• Experience with assisting in rig setup, maintenance, and mobilization preferred

• This role involves supporting geotechnical site investigations by operating and maintaining specialized drilling and testing equipment in the field
• Responsibilities include working with a team of 2–3 to perform soil testing, collect subsurface data, and assist with mobilizing and demobilizing rigs and other equipment
• Setting up computer-based testing systems and preparing equipment for data collection
• Most work is performed on large infrastructure or construction sites, typically during the early stages of major projects
