A Geotechnical Field Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Winnemucca, NV area. This role is for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to provide field oversight for earthwork activities on the 6-month Thacker Pass Project in Winnemucca, Nevada, ensuring all work meets technical specifications.

  • Provide field oversight for earthwork activities, including reviewing specifications and witnessing field tests.
  • Ensure that all work meets technical requirements and project specifications.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors performing earthwork.
  • Communicate regularly with field representatives from contractor and construction teams.
  • Maintain open communication with the Geotechnical Engineering Lead.

Education and Experience Requirements
Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology from an accredited institution.

EXPERIENCE:

  • With a Master’s degree: At least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • With a Bachelor’s degree: A minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Must have hands-on experience in earthwork execution and prior experience on a large construction site.
    Certifications: Professional registration is preferred, but not required.
    Skills: Must be computer literate and proficient with office and geotechnical software.
