Krazan & Associates, Inc. is a full-service Engineering Firm with offices across the West Coast. We are looking for a full-time Lab Technician-Construction Materials Testing to join the Tacoma, Washington office.
This position is ideal for candidates interested in advancing their career in the Geotechnical and Construction Observation/Material Testing Field.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong math skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and manage a physically demanding workload
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, receptive to direction
• Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, and noise)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with field or laboratory testing of concrete, aggregates, soils, asphalt, and other construction materials
• American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Field-Testing Technician–Grade1
• NICET CMT Certification

• Assist in preparing and analyzing samples of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials
• Prepare test reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Operate mechanical equipment such as concrete compression testing machine, soil compaction equipment, aggregate mechanical sieving equipment, and asphalt testing apparatus
• Clean, maintain, and assemble laboratory equipment
• Track equipment usage and maintenance
• Load/unload samples and verify received quantities
