GEOTECHNICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Tower Engineering Professionals is seeking a full-time Geotech Laboratory Technician in our Phoenix, AZ office. As a Lab Tech, you will serve as an integral member of our Geotechnical team.   • Performing laboratory tests on soils and construction materials
  • USCS visual/manual classification
  • Moisture Content
  • Atterberg Limits
  • Sieve Analysis
  • Unconfined Compressive Strength
  • Interpreting test data
  • Preparing reports of test data
  • Keeping the laboratory in compliance with QA/QC initiatives
  • Calibrating laboratory equipment and maintaining calibration schedule and records
  • Assisting with field work and other laboratory functions when needed
  • Compiling test results, data input, and data processing

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in a STEM curriculum (Preferable Geology/Geotech, Civil Engineering)
  • 0 – 2 years of experience
  • Occasionally carry up to 40lbs to 50lbs
