KEY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • University graduate with a degree in civil or geological engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant geotechnical and materials experience
  • Eligible for registration as a professional engineer with Engineers NS
  • Strong working knowledge of common geotechnical and materials engineering software
  • Ability to self-initiate and solve problems
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication (English) skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle

Responsibilities
  • Assist with equipment and software procurement related to geotechnical and materials work
  • Mentor junior geotechnical and materials team members
  • Assist in business development efforts
  • Proposal preparation
  • Provide field support, data compilation, data interpretation, technical analyses, and reporting on a wide variety of geotechnical and materials projects including subsurface investigations and site inspection and testing
  • Technical writing of letters and reports
  • Manage geotechnical and materials projects
  • Provide technical review and quality control of geotechnical and materials deliverables
