Job Description: Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical & Environmental Sciences Consultants has an immediate opening for a Project or Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer in our Irvine, California office. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, including meeting and interacting with the client, and managing budgets. The Project Engineer will also coordinate and participate in field activities, including logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores; evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards; forensic evaluation of distressed structures and failed slopes; perform liquefaction, slope stability, and settlement analyses; and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. Experience with construction and grading activities is strongly desired. Duties of the Project Engineer will also include providing technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists and field technicians. Education: B.S./B.A. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Engineering), M.S. preferred. California Civil Engineering PE license required Required Skills: The successful candidate should be a licensed professional engineer with at least 5 years experience in geotechnical consulting performing the duties listed above. The ideal candidate will bring local experience and familiarity with the local engineering practice.
