JOB SUMMARY

Kiwa CMT is seeking an Geotechnical Site Technician to join our team. This role primarily involves on-site work at various construction projects, with some duties based in our Derby laboratory. You will be responsible for conducting high-quality testing services mainly around the Midlands, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Carry out geotechnical site and laboratory testing
• Maintaining competency/authorisation for the necessary range of test procedures
• Ensure equipment is in current calibration and pre-test checks are completed
• Ensure that test equipment is checked regularly and functioning correctly, and that any failures, defects or damage is reported
• Use and maintain equipment with all due care and ensure that weekly checks are carried out
• Ensure that all necessary test information, results and QC data are recorded in the manner required by current procedures
• Maintain good site working practice at all times
• Willingness to help in lab when returning from site and basic sample preparation
