We have an opportunity for a Staff Engineer to come and grow with us.  Job Responsibilities & Requirements: * Execute Geotechnical project assignments including engineering analysis, report preparation, field exploration and laboratory services. * Provide project-level development of reports and proposals. * Prepare the "field packet" before initiating any field activities on projects. * Field and laboratory sampling and testing. * Oversight and testing on geotechnical projects during design and construction and support Project Managers with responding to customers’ inquiries concerning testing progress and reporting. * Track your own progress within each task of a project and provide timely updates to Project Managers, and propose corrective actions if needed. * Follow department policies and procedures, and support achieving our goals and objectives. * Ensure tests are carried out in accordance with relevant standard test methods and according to agreed customers’ requirements. * Analyze and review field and lab data to ensure accuracy and to meet Company quality standards. * Conduct geotechnical evaluations as required and ensure compliance with applicable design codes & manuals. * Prepare GDOT and non-GDOT geotechnical reports. * Ensure safety policies are followed and demonstrate a safe attitude. * Review your own work to ensure adherence with the Department QA/QC procedures. * While executing project tasks, develop an understanding of all tasks common to most projects as this is fundamental for career development.   Education and Related Requirements: * B.S. degree (M.S. degree or Ph.D. is preferred) in Geotechnical Engineer or Civil Engineering. * Successfully passed the E.I.T. exam. * Strong oral and written communication skills * Demonstrate performance of independent analysis as well as strong problem-solving and organizational skills * Strong personal safety awareness * Willingness to learn at a fast-pace and grow your career BENEFITS * Choice of Two Medical Plans – 100% Employee Coverage  * HSA medical option – with Company contribution * Affordable Dental & Vision Plans – Keep that winning smile sharp * 401(k) with 3% Company Contribution – Future you says thanks * Short & Long-Term Disability (Company Paid) – Because life happens * Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Accident Plan- Pairs nicely with an HSA * $100,000 Life Insurance (Company Paid) – Your family’s safety net * Professional Development & Certifications – Always be leveling up * Paid Time Off + Paid Holidays – Rest hard, play hard About Us MC Squared is a professional consulting engineering firm specializing in the fields of Geotechnical Engineering, Geo-Environmental, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, and Pavement Design and Management with offices in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
