JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, you will lead a team and interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the engineering technical aspects for complex projects. You will participate in project planning, proposal review, and will own the engineering elements of capital estimates. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Requires bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Metallurgical or other suitable to M&M business, and 15+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• General M&M industry experience (preferred).
• 2 or more years of experience as Project Engineer Manager or Project Area Manager.
• Experience in M&M engineering projects developed in 3D model environment.
• Site or operational experience related to M&M business (desirable).
• Experience in projects executed with different engineering offices (workshare) (desirable).
• Experience in projects in all phases (Conceptual, Pre-feasibility, Feasibility, Detail) (desirable).
• Medium to Advanced English level.

• Being responsible for multiple small complex projects or designated large sized highly complex engineering assignments (program) within a global business unit.
• Possessing full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
• Participating in project planning prior to proposals to provide technical guidance in the engineering and construction review of proposals.
• Providing input to and owning the engineering elements of a project capital estimate (proposals and execution) quantities and budgets.
• Reviewing major changes or deviations in project scope, project material quantities, budget or schedule, and assisting particularly with defining the change, obtaining accurate estimates of the hours involved, and recommending budget adjustment.
• Ensuring engineering efforts with Project Manager, Procurement, Construction, Startup, Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H) and Project Controls.
• Directing the preparation of project studies, reports, forecasts, special engineering reports and plant data book.
