Description
Are you a fluent German speaker with a sharp eye for detail and a genuine interest in the social media landscape? Do you want to play a pivotal role in maintaining a secure and constructive digital environment for millions? We are hiring Content Moderators to join our high-energy, fast-moving project based in the heart of Lisbon. This is a full-time, 100% on-site role located in one of Europe's most stunning coastal cities. This is your opportunity to help define the safety standards of global digital media. The Mission: Protecting the Digital Frontier You will be part of a specialized team supporting one of the world's most popular short-form video platforms. Your goal is to evaluate and moderate user-generated content—including videos, images, and comments—to ensure total compliance with community safety protocols. You will act as a digital guardian, shielding the community from harmful material while fostering a creative, inclusive space. Your Core Responsibilities: Media Review: Systematically monitor German-language content (text, video, and stills) based on set workflows and policies. Neutral Decision-Making: Use critical thinking to identify and restrict content that violates safety, copyright, or misinformation guidelines. Cultural Awareness: Stay current with German slang, cultural nuances, and viral trends to ensure moderation is accurate and contextually relevant. Operational Excellence: Consistently hit daily productivity and accuracy targets in a high-volume environment. Safety Collaboration: Liaise with Team Leads and Quality Analysts to ensure a unified approach to platform security. Candidate Profile We are looking for resilient individuals who can remain objective while navigating the complexities of online discourse. Language Proficiency: Native or C2-level German, paired with at least B2-level English. Experience: Previous background in customer service, data entry, or moderation is an advantage, but not required. We provide exhaustive, fully paid training. Resilience: The mental agility to handle sensitive or challenging graphic material with professional detachment. Technical Savvy: High comfort level with social media interfaces and various internal software tools. Flexibility: Ability to work 40 hours per week on a rotating shift schedule (which may include nights or weekends). Presence: A commitment to working fully on-site at our modern Lisbon hub. What's in it for You? Beyond a career in tech, we offer a comprehensive package to support your life in Portugal: €1,500 Sign-On Bonus: A "Welcome" incentive to help you hit the ground running. Premium Relocation (For International Moves): Accommodation in a private room within a company-managed apartment. Full reimbursement of your initial flight to Lisbon. Hands-on support for administrative essentials (NIF, Social Security, and banking). Health & Security: Private health and life insurance coverage starting from your first day. Career Advancement: Structured internal promotion tracks; the majority of our leadership team began in moderation roles. Office Environment: A multicultural workspace featuring relaxation areas, snacks, and regular social gatherings. The Lisbon Lifestyle: Experience Europe's sunniest capital, known for its historic charm, vibrant nightlife, and affordable cost of living.
