At HR-ON, we are looking for a Software Developer who can strengthen our platform with a focus on integrations and API solutions.
As our adventures in the German market has kicked off we are looking for a developer that have solid understanding or experience with the German job market and third party solutions relevant for HR-systems integrations such as salary-, time registration- and job portal solutions. Besides this, native German language proficiency would be prefered.
Your Role

As a backend developer at HR-ON, you will play a central role in the further development of our serverless HR platform. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining GraphQL APIs for both internal and external solutions.
• Integrating our platform with third-party systems and ensuring robust API connections.
• Working with PostgreSQL and MariaDB to optimize data handling and develop complex queries that support API integration.
• Building and implementing backend functionality in Node.js and TypeScript .
• Collaborating closely with frontend teams and external partners to ensure seamless API exchanges.
• Ensuring high code quality and performance through best practices and team collaboration.
• Participating in decision-making processes regarding architecture and API structure.

Who Are You?

We are looking for a backend developer with experience in API integrations and a technological curiosity, who:

• Has experience with GraphQL or REST APIs and system integrations.
• Is experienced with PostgreSQL and MariaDB and complex database queries.
• Works proficiently with Node.js and TypeScript .
• Has knowledge of AWS Lambda and serverless compute technologies.
• Is familiar with version control in GitLab .
• Can think in a scalable and maintainable way, especially regarding API structure.

You have some experience with or knowledge of the above technologies, open to develop your skills further together with our copetent team and ready to take responsibility and initiative. You value a work environment that focuses on trust, freedom, and collaboration.

Bonus if you also:

• Have experience with setting up and maintaining AWS infrastructure .
• Are familiar with scripting in Linux/Mac (Bash, Zsh).
• Are used to writing type-safe and declarative code.
