SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION

• Plan and coordinate the configuration control team activities for all pre- and post-certification efforts at the Mirabel facility.
• Direct all functional department activities by defining the configuration for each helicopter and issue the build plan to allow the timely completion of helicopters.
• Ensure that the build plan meets Mirabel functional department requirements to ensure smooth helicopter completions and deliveries.
• Review and verify configuration requirements, schedule and delivery information generated by Fort Worth build plan, and exercise or recommend actions to all completion centres (Sapore, Prague, Piney Flats and Mirabel) to minimize potential problems.
• Monitor and coordinate internal customization estimate requests (CERs) and act as the main contact for the pricing department for all CER-related communications.
• Ensure that the configuration control document (build plan) is in accordance with the purchase agreement and that Salesforce data reflect the customer’s requirements.
• Review and analyze system failures and provide the proper corrective actions and ensure the proper implementation of the approved solutions.
• Follow up functional departments’ activities to ensure effective and efficient compliance with configuration change requests.
• Represent the Completion Centre in all value stream product technical review and change committee meetings to minimize conflicts between new product configurations and customizing.
• Maintain on-the-job relationships with functional departments and ensure smooth integration of work between production and the Completion Centre. Deal with all management levels of companies.
• Accomplish all other similar or general tasks required by the supervisor or within the framework of assigned responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent command of French is required
• Excellent command of English is required for this position, as it involves communication in English with Bell teams outside of Quebec and/or its suppliers, partners, and clients outside of Quebec.
• A CEGEP diploma or college level program, aerospace, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree or certifications in project management, systems engineering, or quality assurance could be advantageous.
• 5 years in helicopter or aerospace industry roles related to configuration management, product support, or production planning.
• Prior experience in a coordination or management role overseeing configuration control and customization tasks.
• Strong understanding of helicopter systems, configuration requirements, and certification processes.
• Familiarity with configuration control procedures, build plans, and customization requirements.
• Software proficiency Salesforce and SAP.
• Strong project management skills to coordinate with multiple functional departments and ensure timely deliveries.
• Experience in handling complex schedules and cross-departmental communication
• Ability to review and analyze system failures and provide corrective actions.
• Skilled in troubleshooting configuration issues and optimizing workflow processes.
• Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, pricing, and configuration control teams.
• Experience working with diverse teams across various geographic locations (e.g., Mirabel, Fort Worth, Piney Flats).
• Detail-oriented to verify configuration requirements and ensure compliance with customer agreements and certification standards.
• Capability to represent the completion center in value stream product meetings and change committees.
