A one-of-a-kind work environment Diverse and stimulating challenges Competitive compensation Generous benefits package A pension plan with equal employer contributions Responsibilities What your days will look like as a Maintenance Manager – Port Equipment: Lead, coach, and engage maintenance teams (supervisors, mechanics, and storekeeper); Provide strong health and safety leadership and ensure strict application of OHS policies, procedures, and best practices; Define and deploy the preventive, corrective, and improvement maintenance strategy for port equipment and terminal infrastructure; Ensure the reliability and availability of critical equipment, including mobile cranes, wheel loaders, excavators, forklifts, conveyors, and other equipment, as well as buildings and infrastructure; Plan and prioritize the execution of maintenance work, including corrective and preventive maintenance and planned shutdowns; Work closely with operations teams to align maintenance and operational priorities and minimize impacts on terminal activities; Supervise contractors and external suppliers, including performance monitoring, OHS compliance, and contract management; Ensure optimal use of the CMMS (Emaint), including work orders, equipment history, parts management, and performance indicators; Develop, manage, and optimize the maintenance budget (OPEX and CAPEX); Successfully deliver CAPEX projects through commissioning; Prepare performance reports and provide recommendations to management; Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and internal and external audits; Perform any other related duties in line with the responsibilities of the position. Qualifications To succeed as a Maintenance Manager – Port Equipment, you must have: A university degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or any equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience; A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in fleet management and heavy equipment maintenance, including several years in people management; Significant experience in a unionized operational environment (a major asset); Strong knowledge of port equipment (an asset); Proven experience working with a CMMS; A motivating leadership style, a strong field presence, and excellent prioritization skills; Rigor, autonomy, and a continuous improvement mindset; The ability to work effectively in a constantly evolving environment; Bilingualism, both spoken and written.
