Overview R&P is looking for a GFE Logistics Specialist who wants to join our team. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need an logistician ready to join a fast-paced and exciting program to assist the Navy in constructing the newest class of Frigate. Responsibilities Provide GFE support to the Navy's GFE Manager to include but not limited to the following:• Assist coordinating all aspects of receipt, storage, and management of GFE • Track in-yard need dates and identify potential conflicts for resolution or mitigation• Create and maintain databases/trackers to assist with deliveries, shortages, discrepancies such as incorrect nomenclatures, quantities & configuration• Document GFE materail, ensure compliance with preservation & preventive/protection requirements, and monitor safety and risk • Work with the production team and industry to determine fulfillment strategy for full ship BOM (NSC-11 transfer, FFG62 transfer, LLTM orders, etc.)• Manage the inventory, status, condition, and PMS of all material being transferred from USCG NSC-11 stores• Assist GFE manager in determining 2nd shipset equipment to reduce risk on ship production schedule • Brief customer on GFE material status, issues, and mitigation plans, as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Bachelor's Degree in related field (preferred) 5+ years relevant experience in GFE Management (strongly preferred). Ability to work in a shipyard environment. Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain.
