GFL Environmental Inc., is organizing a hiring event for Manual AZ/DZ Drivers, Assistant Operators and Technicians on Wednesday January 14th 2026 from 10am-2pm at our GFL Thunder Bay site located at 26 Haniak Rd. Rossyln ON. GFL Benefits: *Relocation Fee* *Sign-on Bonus* Our industry leading benefits package (100% employer-premium paid) RRSP Matching: We support your future goals by matching your RRSP contributions An environment that encourages professional growth and development Be a part of the Full-Cycle Project initiative – a way to give back to the community Overtime pay MANUAL AZ DRIVERS Key Responsibilities: • Primary focus will be to assist plant operations on a shift schedule. • Operate various types of trucks including Vacuum, Hydrovac, Box, Van trailer and Roll-off. • Power washing and High Pressure Water blasting as required. • Operate Pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, etc. • Maintain cleanliness of Tools and Equipment. • Safely load, transport and unload a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous goods. • Complete all required transport documents including pre & post trip inspections. • Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, MOE, MOL & MTO. • Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner. • Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate run/paperwork completion. Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: • Valid AZ License • Must be able to operate manual transmission. • Must be able to travel across the Border. US Fast Pass needed • Clean drivers abstract. • Mechanical aptitude. • Experience hauling liquids • Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Shift work with overtime as required TECHNICIAN, PROCESSING FACILITIES Key Responsibilities: • Ensure waste is processed in a timely and safe manner • Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks and containers • Ensure incoming waste conforms with acceptance protocol • Operation of processing machinery and equipment as required • Ensure safe operation and procedures are followed at all times • Complete paperwork properly & ensure it is submitted • Complete job hazard risk assessments • Promote a safety culture with all employees • Ensure superior customer service is provided • General shop clean up and maintenance • Other miscellaneous tasks as required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to perform moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks • Physically fit with the ability to lift +50lbs and stand on cement for extended periods of time • Excellent communication skills • Planning and organizational skills • Ability to analyze and solve problems • Able to work independently and in a team environment ASSISTANT OPEREATOR, VACUUM TRUCK SERVICES Key Responsibilities: Delivering Portable Toilets. Servicing Portable Toilets – Cleaning/Stocking units and Pumping out Sewage. Preparing units for Weekend Deliveries. Maintain Work Truck & Units. Dealing with Customers, Contracts and Collecting Payments. Working outdoors for extended periods of time Cleaning and maintenance of grease traps Maintenance of Portable washrooms and Portable washroom trailers Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Valid G license – Clean Driver’s Abstract Required. Flexibility to work days and weekend Must be Familiar with Thunder Bay and Surrounding Areas. Experienced with physical labour & long hours. Driving Experience with large trucks and pulling trailers.
