Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a Ghanaian-speaking Trainee Paralegal to join our dynamic immigration and asylum team. The successful candidate will support solicitors and caseworkers in preparing and managing asylum and immigration applications, particularly involving clients from Ghana and other West African communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in preparing legal documents, including asylum applications, witness statements, and case bundles
  • Liaise with Ghanaian clients and accurately interpret and translate between English and Ghanaian dialects (Twi, Ga, Ewe, etc.)
  • Conduct legal research and gather supporting evidence for immigration and asylum claims
  • Attend client meetings, tribunals, and interviews under supervision
  • Maintain accurate case files and adhere to firm protocols and deadlines
  • Provide administrative support as required
