ProTemps is hiring for 1-2 EXPERIENCED Framers to help our client to build a 2,500sq ft shop 7 miles North of Gibson, AB. (Approx 30 mins from Edmonton)

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an Experienced Framer. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and values quality workmanship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of framing experience (residential or commercial)
  • Fluent in English / good communication skills
  • Strong understanding of building codes and construction practices
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
  • Measure, cut, and assemble in accordance with the specifications provided
  • Capable of using various power tools
  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of framing work
  • Knowledge of and commitment to job site safety practices
  • Own basic hand and power tools is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Inform immediate supervisor of any issues, abnormalities or defects and/or take appropriate measures

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Outdoor work environments; exposure to varying weather and environmental conditions
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel toe safety boots, hard hats, gloves, safety boots, and eye protection, hearing protection
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Physically demanding
  • MUST be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Work may involve long hours and weekend schedules depending on project needs
