Description Dr Delphinium is seeking a strategic and driven Gift Buyer to lead the sourcing, development, and performance of our gift and retail product categories. The Gift Buyer is responsible for planning, purchasing, pricing, and developing product lines to maximize sales and profitability, taking full ownership of the gift category across retail and online channels. As a luxury floral design company known for extraordinary everyday and event experiences, Dr Delphinium extends its artistry into thoughtfully curated retail and online offerings. The Gift Buyer sources and develops vases, planters, containers, seasonal décor, and complementary merchandise that align with our aesthetic standards, enhance our floral designs, and create a cohesive, elevated customer experience. RESPONSIBILITIES Source, develop, and manage gift assortments aligned with retail and e-commerce goals. Negotiate pricing, terms, and partnerships with vendors to maximize margin and quality. Forecast sales, manage inventory levels, and monitor product performance. Analyze sales data and adjust purchasing, promotions, or discontinuations accordingly. Partner with Marketing and Sales Groups to execute cohesive strategies in-store and online. Support store teams by ensuring product knowledge, pricing accuracy, and presentation standards. Maintain strong operational oversight of POS systems, product setup, and category organization. Requirements 2-3 years of high-end retail buying experience preferred Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Solid understanding of retail math, forecasting, and inventory management Excellent analytical and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and adaptable to internal systems Strong communication skills and team collaboration mindset Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage deadlines Must be okay with local travel and occasional travel outside of Dallas, 2-3 times a year Tobacco-free workplace; adherence to company policy required during working hours Must pass a drug test and background check
