Winchester Creek Farm is a family owned 20 acre farm where we raise Alpacas. Llamas, and mini farm animals. We offer farm tours, events, field trips, birthday parties, Alpaca Yoga, and our on-site Gift Shop and our online eCommerce store.
We are looking for an Associte for our gift shop located on the Farm and for our growing online gift shop to provide excellent customer service and meet sales and service goals for our business. Candidates with strong verbal and written communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify guest needs, present and answer questions about our products, and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude, a creative eye in merchandising, and a desire to promptly resolve potential guest issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that our guests leave our store and our farm satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability. You will ensure all displays and in-store displays are created and maintained to showcase our products and enhance the shopping experience. Insuring that correct transactions are completed each and every time is critical to maintain the highest level of guest satisfaction and inventory integrity
You will assist in managing our e-commerce store product listings (descriptions, photos, keywords, meta tags, etc), online promotions and sales prices, customer communications, filling on-line orders, and shipping.

SKILLS

  • Proven work experience in retail sales & e-commerce
  • Lightspeed POS, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace, Google Marketplace, and other social media marketplace experience a huge plus
  • Understanding of the retail sales process
  • Understanding of retail display & merchandising
  • Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
  • Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
  • Basic math skills
  • Cashiering, cash handling, wrapping, and packaging
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environment
  • Training or degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Hospitality, Retail Merchandising, Sales or related field is a plus

Responsibilities
  • Must work weekends & Holidays. Schedule will be between the hours of 9:00-5:15
  • Handle retail sales for gift shop and online store
  • Handle guest questions in person and over the phone
  • Ensure inventory losses at a minimum
  • Accurately handle retail transactions for guests
  • Receive, inventory, and price product for the sales floor
  • Creatively display product and keep the sales floor fresh, clean, and fully stocked
  • Create attractive gift baskets with thoughtful merchandise selections
  • Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
  • Provide sampling of items to guests as per the sample schedule
  • Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
  • Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
  • Cross-sell products
  • Ensure displays are fully stocked
  • Manage returns of merchandise
  • Help pull and carefully package online orders received
  • Coordinate with the Farm Tour Guide team to provide excellent guest service (especially during peak times)
  • Inform customers about discounts, farm tours & events, and special offers
  • Provide guest feedback to the Retail Manager & Owners
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services
  • Become familiar with Farm Tours & Animals - must become familiar with the farm and the farm animals to answer guest inquiries
