Job Summary: The Host at Gigi’s is the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. This role requires a polished, engaging, and service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a gracious demeanor.   Key Responsibilities: * Greet guests warmly and sincerely as they arrive, creating an inviting first impression. * Manage reservations and walk-in seating using the restaurant’s reservation system. * Escort guests to their tables and present menus in a courteous and efficient manner. * Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth table turnover and optimal seating flow. * Provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed during peak periods. * Maintain a clean and organized host stand, entryway, and lobby area. * Assist with answering phones, taking reservations, and responding to guest inquiries. * Support the service team as needed to ensure exceptional guest experience. * Uphold Gurney’s service standards and brand values at all times. Qualifications: * Previous hosting or guest service experience in a high-volume, upscale dining environment preferred. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polished, professional presence. * Ability to remain calm and gracious under pressure. * Experience with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) a plus. * Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. * Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
