WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for team players and leaders with an enthusiastic approach to their duties, great communication skills, the ability to be innovative and creative, alongside a willingness to learn new skills.There are fantastic opportunities to develop your skills through in-house training courses, allowing good future career prospects.
Applicants need to have at least 12 months of previous bar experience to apply. In order to make sure we can get you trained up and feeling confident behind the bar before some of our busiest events, we have set a fixed date when all successful candidates will need to start in the role and attend training. Please ensure you review the dates carefully and are certain that you will be able to attend the compulsory induction session before you apply otherwise you will not be able to start with us.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is based in Venues Bars, where you will experience a range of shifts from gigs, themed clubnights such as Fruity, and a multitude of other events in the union. The majority of shifts are evening shifts – so if you are a night owl, this may be the role for you!

We recruit for this role using a talent pool system. This means that we are continuously filling positions throughout the year. Individuals who are successful at interview in oversubscribed areas or unable to attend the mandatory induction session may remain in the talent pool for up to 6 months and may be contacted in the event that there are available positions. We cannot guarantee that you will be offered a position within 6 months if you are placed in the talent pool.
