Intern Description: Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i is seeking interns who are looking to strengthen their child development or non-profit business skills. This internship opportunity pays $200/month. This opportunity is hybrid remote, and a laptop will be provided. Project hours will range between 10-15 hours per week sometime between 7:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. Hours will be agreed upon between the intern and their supervisor. Weekend events happen occasionally where your participation will be requested. Interns will commit to a reasonable learning time frame, usually an academic year or fraction thereof. Interns must be willing and able to pass a background and reference check. College credits can be made available per the request and oversight of the intern’s school faculty. What You Will Do: Learn the fundamental duties within one or more departments of the Girl Scouts Team, which includes but is not limited to: child development, non-profit administration, marketing, or fund development. Learn about our national and local processes and how they contribute to the success of our organization. Complete projects relevant to our internship for your portfolio. Provide additional relevant support. Who You Are: Current college/graduate school student in a field related to business, sociology, education, communications, or related field. Interested in a career in nonprofit administration or child development. Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail. Project management skills with the ability to self-motivate. Ability to manage upwards and evaluate your bandwidth.
Responsibilities
Interns will learn fundamental duties within various departments of the Girl Scouts Team and complete relevant projects for their portfolio. They will also provide additional support as needed.
