The Bay School | San Francisco, CA Position: Girls Varsity Golf Head Coach Location: Presidio Golf Course, San Francisco, CA 94129 Season: August 18, 2026 – October 26, 2026 Compensation: $5,500 Stipend About the Role The Bay School is seeking an enthusiastic and patient Girls Varsity Golf Head Coach for the Fall 2026 season. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small, supportive team of student-athletes, many of whom are new to the game of golf. We're looking for a coach who enjoys teaching fundamentals, fostering confidence, and creating a positive team environment where every athlete can grow both on and off the course. Responsibilities Plan and lead engaging practices focused on golf fundamentals and skill development. Teach beginner golfers proper swing mechanics, etiquette, rules, and course management. Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging team culture. Coach athletes during practices and competitive matches throughout the season. Transport student-athletes from The Bay School to away matches (school transportation procedures apply). Communicate effectively with players, families, and the athletic department. Represent The Bay School with professionalism and integrity. Schedule Season: August 18 – October 26, 2026 Practices: Monday–Thursday Approximately 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM Held at Presidio Golf Course Competitions: Approximately 10 matches 8 matches in San Francisco 2 matches in Marin County Match days require earlier departures and transportation of the team. Qualifications Experience playing and/or coaching golf. Passion for teaching beginners and developing young athletes. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Valid driver's license and ability to transport the team to away competitions. Previous coaching experience is preferred but not required. Compensation $5,500 seasonal stipend
