Geocgi is looking for a GIS Analyst (Junior) to support our client, United States Department of State Bureau of Diplomatic Security. The candidate will provide spatial analysis, assist with GIS administration, and support geospatial tasks that contribute to the client’s mission. This position is a hybrid role, primarily home-based with expectation of one in-person day per week at United States Department of State facilities in Rosslyn, Virginia, USA.   Key Responsibilities: •    Perform geospatial data editing, maintenance, and quality control using ArcGIS Pro in versioned and enterprise data environments. •    Conduct spatial analysis to support operational and analytical needs. •    Assist in the creation of geospatial products such as maps, dashboards, web maps, and web applications using ArcGIS Enterprise. •    Develop, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Dashboards, Experiences, and web applications to support mission and stakeholder requirements. •    Apply established data management best practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, metadata completeness, and lifecycle tracking of geospatial datasets. •    Support integration of geospatial data into intelligence and operational workflows, ensuring alignment with customer needs and standards. •    Develop and refine basic automation and scripting using ArcPy to improve efficiency and repeatability of analysis and production tasks. •    Assist with technical production tasks, analysis support, documentation, and deliverable preparation. •    Support project management activities, including task tracking, documentation, training material development, and status reporting. •    Work directly with internal customers to understand requirements and communicate how location intelligence and spatial analysis can support mission objectives. The following are requirements of the GIS Analyst (Junior):   •    U.S. Citizen with Active Secret clearance. •    Minimum of 3 years of professional GIS experience performing spatial analysis and data editing. •    Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, or a related discipline. •    Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, including data editing, spatial analysis, and cartographic production. •    Working proficiency with ArcPy scripting for basic automation and geoprocessing tasks. •    Demonstrated experience applying spatial, analytical, and cartographic techniques to real-world problems. •    Experience creating and maintaining geospatial data from multiple source types, including vector, raster, and GPS data. •    Knowledge of GIS database principles, data models, and best practices for managing spatial data. •    Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) to support analysis, reporting, and coordination. The following are preferred of the Geospatial Analyst (Junior): •    Exposure to ArcGIS Enterprise environments, including Portal usage and basic administration concepts. •    Experience working with enterprise or versioned GIS databases. •    Demonstrated interest in automation, advanced analysis, and professional development within the geospatial field. •    Familiarity with secure or classified operational environments and associated data handling requirements. The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $70,000-$85,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
