GIS ANALYST – OBERPFALZ

Die NV5 Geospatial (NV5G) stellt derzeit aktiv eine/n GIS-Analyst/in für den Standort Oberpfalz ein. Gesucht wird eine Person mit fundierter Expertise in Geodaten-Technologien und analytischen Methoden. Arbeitssprache: Englisch.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Residency Requirement: Applicants must have been living in Germany for at least 12 months prior to applying.
• Degree Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major work in geography, computer science, surveying engineering, forestry, earth science or natural resources or a related field
• Ability to pass US DOD basic background check
• Ability to travel locally in Bavaria to surrounding USAG sites for field work collection
• Experience with Esri ArcGIS Software
• Working knowledge of design and use of GIS and/or computerized mapping system (public or military)
• 2 Years experience with GIS
• Understanding of field data collection techniques and principles
• General computer skills, i.e. word processor, e-mail, spreadsheets, etc.
• Fluent English language speaking and writing skillset

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in geography, computer science, surveying engineering, forestry, earth science or natural resources
· European Union citizenship preferred
· Experience w/ ArcGIS Pro
· Sound technical understanding of key technologies (GIS, CADD, Database) and systems
· German language speaking and writing skillset.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Part of a team responsible for the direct support of the MPD, map production and analysis, maintaining Army GIS data standards and ensuring that requirements are met
• Ability to input data into GIS and mapping systems, read and interpret maps, record drawings and legal descriptions, prepare charts, graphs and displays
• Familiarity with QCP implementation and implementing the SDSFIE family of standards
• Ability to demonstrate progress to the client and communicate issues related to unclear, missing, or incomplete information
• Ability to engage with local client staff and take technical direction from local subject matter experts
• Ability to accurately prepare deliverables for delivery to the client
