Position Title:- GIS Architect
Location:- Richmond, VA
Interview Process:- Webcam only
Position Type:- Contract
The Senior GIS Architect will design and implement ArcGIS Enterprise. This role requires expertise in ESRI’s ArcGIS platform and its integration with enterprise systems. Responsibilities include designing, configuring, and documenting a multi-environment GIS architecture with Staging and Production instances, including Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, Web Adapter, Object Store, and SQL Server enterprise geodatabase.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of GIS architecture experience, particularly in Microsoft/Azure environments.
• Expertise in deploying ArcGIS Enterprise in multi-environment setups.
• Proficient in DNS, port assignment, and firewall management for ArcGIS Server/Enterprise.
• Strong Python (ArcPy, Pandas) and SQL skills for GIS management and automation.
• Experience in geodatabase design and spatial analysis.
• Familiar with GIS web services (REST, SOAP) and APIs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ESRI-certified Enterprise System Design Professional (ESDP2201).
• Experience with ArcGIS monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps for GIS deployment.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
