Overview: We are seeking a GIS Intern to support our telecommunications and utilities GIS operations. This role offers hands-on experience using GIS tools, working with real data, and contributing to key business processes. What You’ll Do: Assist with Sales Cost Estimates (SCE) using documented GIS workflows Collect and apply 811 locate data to support asset protection Perform basic spatial analysis to assist operational teams Create monthly locate screen rate reports by territory Conduct QA/QC data audits in ArcGIS Online and GeoHub Participate in weekly team meetings and scheduled learning & development sessions What You’ll Learn: How GIS supports telecommunications operations Real-world data management and spatial analysis skills Professional skills, including meeting deadlines, reporting, and teamwork Requirements Rising junior or senior in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field Familiarity with ArcGIS tools preferred (coursework accepted) Strong attention to detail, communication, and organization
