Job Description • Works under general direction. • Programs and applies a broad range of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) database, and spreadsheet software for GIS design, mapping and analysis. • Independently contributes to the design of databases or development of geodatabases and systems, as well as compiles and analyzes GIS data. • May evaluate commercial GIS applications, as well as design and develop GIS applications for internal use and for client deliverables. • Independently performs most assignments with instruction as to the general results expected. • Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
