The GIS Supply Data Analyst is critical in Driscoll’s Supply Execution Analytics effort. The core responsibilities for this role range from maintaining GIS data integrity and quality, data collection efficiency, and conducting spatial analysis to enhance business decision-making. This role is critical in identifying process automation and improvement opportunities, conducting research, and performing spatial and supply data analysis to uncover business insights. The GIS Supply Data Analyst supports the continuous improvement of the supply data collection process; provides expertise, support, assistance, and guidance to all critical stakeholders. With in-depth GIS knowledge, the analyst will be an active representative on various projects and company initiatives, serving as a subject matter expert for GIS integration with other business processes and platforms. This role will be critical in supporting the continued advancement of Driscoll’s GIS effort and will support the pursuit of end-to-end Supply Insights.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Supply Execution Analytics, GIS, and Forecasting analytics managers to support the Production Teams, IS, and other key stakeholders to plan strategic solutions to integrate GIS-based datasets to meet Driscoll’s objectives.
  • Support the realization of spatial analytics throughout the Supply Chain.
  • Leverage GIS and Analytical capabilities to create visibility to elevated insights to enable business decisions.
  • Ensure Supply Data integrity by executing timely, precise audits and updates of ranch and block data, while proactively communicating with district teams to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Independently assess requirements and existing processes to develop and launch efficient and automated solutions to challenges in collecting, editing, and maintaining geospatial data.
  • Work cross-functionally to design and launch easily accessible tabular and spatial data reports using Tableau for Supply and Forecast data systems.
  • Support supply analytics with dashboard creation, Ad hoc reporting, and regular supply analysis tasks
  • Independently conduct geospatial analyses to support cross-departmental business decisions.
  • Working as part of the GIS project team, ensure geospatial data is leveraged across all functions by providing expertise, integration options, and technical expertise in GIS.
  • Evaluate user needs to design and maintain effective web maps, services, and web apps in ArcGIS Online.
  • Using knowledge and application of GIS capabilities, identify and recommend emerging technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced with Driscoll’s geospatial platform and processes.
  • Manage advanced geospatial database and workflow execution processes to support business needs.
  • Conduct and certify results of user acceptance testing scenarios to assist in database development, process enhancements, and geoprocessing tool releases.
  • Consistently strive to develop business acumen to enhance capabilities in identifying opportunities for GIS-business integration.
  • Continuously seeks to develop technical skills-set necessary to meet department and company strategic goals.
  • Ensures Driscoll’s confidential and proprietary information and materials are protected.
  • Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like professional manner in all interactions with growers, co-workers, suppliers, customers, and the business community at large.
