THE PERSON

We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable GIS specialist, who can contribute to a range of GIS duties in a dynamic environment, who will bring with you the following core skills:

  • A degree qualification in GIS or a related field, with MSc desirable.
  • Sound understanding of core GIS concepts and principles
  • Experience of capturing, editing, analysing and high-quality presentation of GIS data
  • Experience of using ESRI products and extensions
  • Effective problem solving, innovation and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and systematically with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time, working under pressure as part of a team to meet targets

The ideal candidate would also have the following desirable skills:

  • Experience of using GIS in a consultancy or client-facing environment; delivering duties against defined timescales and budgets
  • Experience of working with ArcGIS online solutions, including mobile and web-based apps
  • Experience of data management across cloud-based and SQL environments.
  • Experience of working with environmental and ecological GIS data
