ABOUT US

We are founded in 1992.
We introduced our iconic green reusable plastic crates (RPCs) in the 90’s, which became a staple in the transportation and storage of fresh produce across Europe.
In the mid-2000s, we implemented RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology to track and trace our RPCs more efficiently.
In 2021 we started using the first recycled folding trays.
We’ve got over 70 service centres all over Europe – you can find us in most countries. So, wherever you are in Europe, our efficient network has got you covered.
Through new technologies and knowledge, we were able to lower our washing temperature in 2022 which resulted in significant reduction of between 47% and 52% in our gas consumption.
In 2017 we agreed that we want to reduce our carbon footprint by 20% by 2025 by implementing several improvement projects

In this crucial role, you will play a key part in supporting our financial department by handling a diverse range of accounting tasks. You will ensure the accuracy and reliability of our financial information, contributing to informed decision-making across the organization. You will report directly to the Accounting Manager and collaborate closely with various departments.

As a GL Accountant, your primary responsibility will be the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. You will meticulously analyze and reconcile financial data to ensure alignment with our records, contributing to the overall integrity of our financial reporting.
In addition to balance sheet reconciliation, you will provide invaluable support during month-end closures.
Furthermore, you will be entrusted with the preparation, verification, and reconciliation of VAT returns and listings. Your proficiency in navigating the intricacies of VAT regulations across multiple jurisdictions, including BE, NL, and UK, will be essential in ensuring compliance and accuracy in our tax filings. Additionally, you will provide assistance and guidance on VAT-related inquiries.
Your role will extend to providing valuable support during audit processes. You will collaborate with internal and external auditors, offering insights and documentation to facilitate thorough audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Handling invoices related to general expenses will be another aspect of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will manage payroll bookings for BE & UK.
As part of your role, you will oversee and manage insurance matters within the organization. This will involve maintaining up-to-date records, liaising with insurance providers, and ensuring adequate coverage to protect our assets and mitigate risks.
You will also serve as an ad hoc backup for colleagues, stepping in to assist with tasks such as processing bank and purchase journals as needed.
Furthermore, you will actively contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance department.

You have a proven track record in financial accounting. Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills and a good understanding of accounting best practices. Moreover, you are a critical, pragmatic, and accurate team player, capable of aligning finance initiatives with organizational objectives.
